ROOT CANAL THERAPY

When dental decay is left untreated, infection can spread into the root of the tooth, causing severe discomfort and pain. Abscesses occasionally form as the infection moves into the gums, around the tooth. Instead of removing badly damaged or infected teeth, we have the ability to access the central area of the tooth and provide treatment by cleaning the canals inside a tooth’s root, clearing the tooth of infection.

 

We use state of the art instrumentation and x rays to thoroughly remove the pulp, nerve and decay from the diseased tooth. We then seal and fill the interior portion of the tooth. Adding a porcelain crown to protect the tooth from fracturing after it is sealed is highly recommended. This procedure is performed in-office with local anesthesia.
